Understanding our cancellation and refund policies

1. Cancellation by Customer

1.1 Free Cancellation

You can cancel your booking free of charge if:

  • Cancellation is made at least 30 minutes before the scheduled pickup time
  • The driver has not been assigned or dispatched to your location

1.2 Cancellation Charges

Cancellation charges may apply in the following cases:

  • Cancellation made less than 30 minutes before pickup: 20% of the fare
  • Cancellation after driver arrives at pickup location: 50% of the fare
  • No-show (driver waits but passenger doesn't appear): 100% of the fare

2. Cancellation by BookRide

We reserve the right to cancel a booking in the following circumstances:

  • Unavailability of drivers in your area
  • Technical issues or system failures
  • Safety concerns or adverse weather conditions
  • Suspected fraudulent activity

In such cases, you will receive a full refund, and we will make every effort to notify you as soon as possible.

3. Refund Policy

3.1 Refund Processing

Refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 5-10 business days. The exact time may vary depending on your bank or payment provider.

3.2 Refund Eligibility

Full refunds are provided for:

  • Cancellations made within the free cancellation window
  • Cancellations initiated by BookRide
  • Service quality issues verified by our support team

5.1 Airport Rides

For airport transfers, cancellation must be made at least 2 hours before the scheduled pickup time to avoid charges.

5.2 Long-Distance Rides

For intercity or long-distance bookings, cancellation must be made at least 4 hours before pickup to avoid charges.

5.3 Hourly Packages

Hourly package bookings require 24 hours notice for free cancellation.

If you believe you were charged incorrectly or have a dispute regarding cancellation charges, please contact our customer support team. We will review your case and provide a resolution within 48 hours.
